The unique journey of the authors and other professionals who are part of this production company is worth highlighting and constitutes the true value of Animais. Founded by Nuno Amorim and Zepe (José Pedro Cavalheiro), Animais is a production studio that has reinvented itself, seeking to innovate and invest in research and experimentation, seeking to establish a relationship with tangential arts – dialogues with music, with illustration, painting and writing. It has had the support of ICA and RTP since its foundation, totalling more than three hours of original animation. With a studio in Porto, Animais invests in innovation and young creators, risking the fusion of techniques and genres, fusing digital with children’s drawing, documentary with animation, animation with real image and seeking to bring to the scene, exercises about memory, about the human condition, about the unsaid, about our culture, our relationship with others and our place in the world.
